The luxurious and palatial four star Radium Palace spa, built in 1912, is located within peaceful forest surrounds in the center of the resort. Renovated in 1997, the hotel is now furnished in a modern style.

Infrastructure

The hotel boasts a 13.5 x 6, 7 x 2.3m deep swimming pool with free use for all hotel guests. The pool is open Monday-Friday 3:45pm-9pm, Saturdays from 11:15am-9pm, and Sundays from 7:15am-2:15pm. There is also a swimming pool on the Kneip trail, complete with Jacuzzi, luxury Afrodite Cabine scented baths with champagne designed to accommodate a maximum of 2 people (for €44 euro/hour), guests may use the sauna with spring water fountain once a day, infra-sauna and steam room. Guests should note that use of all types of sauna except for the steam room incurs an additional charge. The hotel has 5 restaurants with an overall capacity of 250 people, a winter garden with café, and 2 bar/clubs with a capacity of 150 people, as well as a summer terrace. Beauty salon, pedicure service, hairdresser, souvenir store, library, ironing room, large concert hall where guests can come and enjoy live music, parking for €3 euro/day, currency exchange, excursions, mini-golf, tennis, Nordic walking, street chess.

Accommodation

The hotel comprises a total of 159 rooms. There are 15 singles and 144 doubles. All rooms come complete with: bathroom, separate powder room, telephone, satellite television, safe deposit box, refrigerator/minibar, bathrobes. It is possible to provide additional beds and cots in double lux rooms. Breakfast room service is charged at €3 euro while lunch room service is charged at €4 euro. 1A up to Deluxe category rooms have Ethernet (cable) internet access for €0.80 euro/day. Guests in Superior rooms with free personal computers can enjoy free Ethernet (cable) internet access. All meals are served in the hotel restaurant, serving a variety of Czech and international cuisine as well as diet food. 7am-9:30am (buffet). 11:30am-1:30pm (menu with a choice of 8 dishes). 5:30pm-7:30pm (menu with a choice of 8 dishes).

Treatment

All treatments except radium therapy (carried out at the Institute of Radium Therapy) are carried out at the spa complex. Guests must be over 18 to be eligible for treatment. A large selection of additional procedures and treatments are on offer for an extra charge. These include: using the salt caves, Thai massage and aroma-baths. Guests undertaking certain treatments such as physical therapy and rehabilitative gymnastic programs may take advantage of the small 1.5x2.5m Auxil pool. Treatments take place Monday-Friday from 6:45am-5pm, and Saturdays from 6:45am-2pm. The spa is closed Sundays. NB. Everyday from 11am guests of the spa are given mineral water fresh from the Karlovy Vary springs, should they wish to try it.
