Thank you Altair Travel for our perfect Cuban vacation!

A few days ago my husband and I came back home from Varadero, Cuba.

During our Cuban vacation

we stayed at the BelleVue Palma Real from February 9th to 16th. It was nothing fancy, but absolutely beautiful for us! We enjoyed the sun, the ocean, the beach, the hotel, good food, and service … everything, including the price we paid. And we are not the only ones who said nice words about Bellevue Palma Real Varadero. There are over 1700 reviews on Palma Real at Tripadvisor.ca and about 60% of them have “Excellent” and “Very good” travellers rating. Overall, our expectations were greatly exceeded. Varadero is famous for its white sandy beaches with clear turquoise warm water. And it’s very true: the beach was really gorgeous and was only a short walk (2-3 minutes) from the hotel buildings. The buffet had a good selection for each meal and you always could find something that you really like. The room was clean and a maid came every day to make the beds and tidy up. The service people were very friendly. Tips are greatly appreciated everywhere and by everyone. If you tip the gardener he can bring you coconuts.

Bellevue Palma Real

Full of the authentic Cuban flavour and cultural traditions, Bellevue Palma Real is set in the heart of the Varadero resort area. It offers 466 rooms, 3 outdoor swimming pools for adults and 1 for children, 4 restaurants and 6 bars. You may spend your time participating in a variety of activities: windsurfing, kayaking, snorkeling, gym or spa. Varadero is situated on the Hicacos Peninsula between the Bay of Cárdenas and the Straits of Florida, 140km from Havana. The peninsula is only 1.2km wide at its widest point. This spit of land however extends more than 20km from the mainland in a northeasterly direction and its tip, Punta Hicacos, is the northernmost point of the island of Cuba. In addition to its most valued resource, the beach, Varadero has natural attractions such as caves and a chain of easily accessed virgin cays. There are also cultural, historical and environmental attractions in the town and its vicinity. Receiving more than 1 million tourists annually, Varadero is primarily visited by European and Canadian tourists. Thank you Altair Travel for a delightful week in Varadero! Natalia and Carlos
